Frequently Asked Questions
How early should I get there?
Plan on arriving at least 15 minutes before the service starts. That will give you time to park and sign in on our guest book. Voice that you're a visitor to one of our greeters and they'll be sure to answer any questions you may have. Make sure you get into the sanctuary before the service begins and don't hesitate to reach out to any member beforehand and let them know you're visiting. Anyone would be happy to sit by you throughout the service and guide you through if necessary.
What should I wear?
Out of respect and reverence for God, you'll find that most of our members dress in nicer attire. There is no requirement for this and you may dress as you're comfortable, but when in doubt, modest clothing would be appropriate.
I've never been to a Missouri Synod Lutheran Church. Will I be lost in the service?
As you enter the santuary, you'll be given a bulletin with our Order of Worship printed on the right flap. Follow that order in the Lutheran Service Book provided in your pew. If you find yourself lost at any time, reach out to someone near you - they'd be glad to help.
Am I allowed to participate in The Lord's Supper (communion)?
Scripture teaches that the Lord's Supper is a precious gift of God in which Christ gives us His true body and blood (in a miraculous way), together with the bread and wine, for the forgiveness of our sins and the strengthening of our faith. Because the Bible teaches that this Sacrament may also be spiritually harmful if misused (1 Corinthians 11:27-29), and that participation in the Lord's Supper is an act of confession of faith, the LCMS ordinarily communes only those who have been instructed in the teachings of our church and who have confessed their faith in these teachings.
What about my kids?
We welcome children in worship and support families worshiping together. However, volunteers will be available in the nursery each week to care for and share Christ's love with your child if you so desire. The nursery overlooks the sanctuary and can be accessed via the right hallway as you enter the building.

Jesus said in John 8:31, “If you abide in my word, you truly are my disciples.” The Adult Catechumenate teaches people in a high paced, high stress, high tech age to abide in Christ through every storm of life. In the process, there are four stages:
Stage 1: EXPLORATION is an investigation into the Old and New Testament Scriptures that reveal our Lord Jesus Christ. The word of God will do its work as people are led through exploration and discussion to greater understanding of the Christian faith.
Stage 2: SEPARATION is taught by Pastor Droegemueller and focuses on the six chief parts of the Christian faith (from Luther’s Small Catechism).
Stage 3: TRANSITION helps those who desire to be baptized and/or confirmed to prepare for the challenges of life. People learn to pray, read the Bible, and understand what it means to worship God.
Stage 4: INCORPORATION helps the newly baptized and confirmed members of Christ’s Church to understand the patterns of living in Christ’s mercy as we gather around His Word and Gifts.
